DHAKA: Telecom and ICT Minister Mustafa Jabbar said the country will be lagging behind as a nation if it fails to make new generation qualified for the modern world. 

The minister was addressing a program titled “Skills Development for Mobile Games and Applications project” as the chief guest at Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC).

He said, “Our new generation can learn anything fast. Their talent is to be utilized in a proper way. We need concerted efforts to make our next generation become compatible with modern technologies such as robotics, artificial intelligence, 5G and modern technology.”

The ICT minister signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 8 public and non-government organizations for implementing 8 people-friendly digital initiatives. 

The 8 organizations are as follows: Bangladesh Technical Education Board, Dhaka Government Teachers’ Training College, Feni Government Teachers’ Training College, Mymensingh Government Teachers’ Training College, Faridpur Government Teachers’ Training College, Bangladesh Open University, Bangladesh Industrial and Technical Assistance Center (BITAC), and non-Government Organization Breaking the silence

The chiefs of respective organizations were present during signing of the project.

Project director of Skills Development for Mobile Games and Applications, Md. Abdul Hai and  project director of A2I Mostafizur Rahman, among others, were present at the function.
