DHAKA: 2G, 3G and 4G internet connections for mobile phone were restored as the services had been suspended in several phases on the day (December 30, 2018) before the 11th national elections. 

Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) directed the mobile operating companies to resume the connections at 10:30am Tuesday (Jan 1).

BTRC Senior Assistant Director Md Jakir Hossain Khan confirmed the move to Banglanews.

Mobile internet users across the country survived data disconnection and high-speed data failure in several phases since Dec 29 afternoon.
