BD-Belarus to build up trade ties

DHAKA: Bangladesh and Belarus have outlined measures to strengthen trade and economic cooperation, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

The bilateral ties were discussed during the visit of the Belarusian delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Valentin Rybakov to the People`s Republic of Bangladesh on 3-4 November.

During the visit Valentin Rybakov met with the minister of textiles and jute, deputy ministers of foreign affairs, agriculture, finance, local government division and rural development and cooperative, fisheries and livestock, science and technology of Bangladesh.

The participants of the meetings discussed the state of efforts to implement the agreements reached during the official visits of Belarusian Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich to Bangladesh in November 2012 and Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina to Belarus in July 2013. They also discussed ways to step up and boost cooperation in trade and economy, science and technology, and humanitarian field.
