DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Thursday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 28 points to stand at 4,241 at the close on the last trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 131,635with transaction at Tk 5,165million. Of the issues traded, 142 advanced, 123 declined and 24 remained unchanged.

GENNEXT topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 314 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were MPETROLEUM, BENGALWTL, RNSPIN, ALARABANK, MALEKSPIN, SPPCL, TALLUSPIN, ONEBANKLTD and UNITEDAIR.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,283 by gaining over 60 points.

Out of the issues traded, 180 gained, 91 declined and 20 remained unchanged.
