The Women E-Commerce Entrepreneurship Summit (WE Summit) 2023, South Asia's largest summit, has started with the participation of women entrepreneurs and industry stakeholders.
The summit was inaugurated by the State Minister for Culture KM Khalid this morning at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital.
The summit was co-sponsored by the Department of Information and Communication Technology, Controller of Certifying Authorities and Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative (WE-FI).
State Minister for Culture KM Khalid in the speech of the Chief Guest said “For almost five years I have been associated with WE (Women and E-Commerce Trust). I was the first guest to attend one of their functions at Mymensingh Agricultural University. Since that event, my involvement with WE has grown. Their work inspires and motivates me. The backward population of Bangladesh is women. We organization is working to develop them.
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak said, “Women and E-Commerce (WE) is the largest and most successful platform in Bangladesh. I have been with these women entrepreneurs since birth.”
The inaugural function was presided over by Nasima Akhtar Nisha, Founder President of WE and Convener of We Summit 2023.
WE is the country's leading organization working with women entrepreneurs.
