The government on Sunday (October 8) has decided to sell onions at Tk 35 per kg among the family card holders of Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) in the capital.
TCB will start selling onions at nearly one-third of the existing market price in phases from Monday.
The TCB issued a press release in this regard.
Each of the cardholders will be allowed to buy two kg of onion at a time and TCB will supply imported onions upon their arrival in the country.
