The Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) on Wednesday (January 17) raised the price of gold by Tk 1,400 to Tk 1,12, 441 per bhori.
The standing committee on pricing and price monitoring of BAJUS made the decision at a meeting.
The price of 22-carat gold is now Tk 1,12, 441 per bhori, while it is Tk 1,07, 309 for 21-carat, said a press release signed by committee vice chairman Enamul Haque Bhuiyan Liton.
The price of 18-carat gold has been fixed at Tk 92,029 a bhori, while that of traditional gold is at Tk 76,632 a bhori. The new tariffs will come into effect tomorrow, the release said.
The price of 22-carat silver is Tk 2,100 per bhori, Tk 2,006 for 21-carat silver, Tk 1,715 for 18-carat silver, and Tk 1,283 for traditional silver.
