The Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (BAJUS) is going to organise a three-day jewellery fair in the capital from tomorrow (February 8).
This year, the theme of the fair is “Shonay Biniyog, Bhobishshoter Shanchay” (Investment in gold, savings for the future), according to a press release issued on Tuesday.
To support the Vision 2041 of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, BAJUS President Sayem Sobhan Anvir has planned the mega carnival for the third time.
Under the theme of 'Investment in gold, savings for the future, some 41 jewellery companies will showcase the strength of the local jewellery industry.
Officials of BAJUS hoped that the three-day fair would play a role in boosting the domestic jewellery industry and creating a strong position for Bangladesh in the global market.
With the participation of 41 jewellery companies, the largest and most ambitious gold fair named “BAJUS Fair-2024” will be held at the International Convention City Bashundhara in the capital for the third time, the release added.
The fair, comprising nine pavilions, 17 mini pavilions and 15 stalls, will remain open for visitors every day from 10am to 9pm.
Among participants, nine companies-- Alankar Niketan, Amin Jewelers, Venus Jewellers, Kunj Jewellers, Royal Malabar Jewellers, Apon Jewellers, Jarwa House and Rizvi Jewellers are participating in the fair with pavilion.
Seventeen companies -- Diamond Bazaar & Gold, Gaurav Jewellers, Alvi Jewellers, IK Jewellers, Chowdhury Gold, Rhea Jewellers, Aftab Jewellers, Diamond House, Royal Diamond, The Diamond Store, Dreamz Instrument Technology, Raj Jewelers Limited, Zara Gold, Jaya Gold & Diamond, Sass International, Pearl Oasis Jewelers and D Damas Diers are participating with mini-pavelions.
The 15 companies participating in the stall are Golden World Jewellers, The IK Jewellers, Gitanjali Jewellers, Ayat Diamonds, Siraj Jewellers, Papdi Jewellers, Diamond Palace, Diamond Square, New Bashundhara Jewellers, Raja Aishari, D Gold Passion, Bangladesh Scientific Instrument Company, Gems Gallery & Diamond, Khokon Jewelers and RN Microtech.
The ticket price of the fair will be Tk100 while children aged five years or less will not require any ticket to enter it.
The curtain of the fair will fall on 10 February.
