The inflow of remittance to Bangladesh in the first 15 days of March has slightly gone down compared to last month, according to the Bangladesh Bank (BB) report.
BB's recent report, which was released today (March 18) inflow of remittance this month totaled 1.01 billion US dollars.
The country received $67.9 milliom remittances every day on average, read report.
The remittance Bangladesh received through state-owned bank is $ 128.2 million, while $15.4 million came through specialized banks, $871.9 million through private banks and $3.25 million through foreign sector banks.
Bangladesh Bank report further said in February, the country received $2166 million in remittances, which was the highest in this fiscal year.
However, the officials of the central bank hoped that before Eid-Ul-Fitr influx of remittance might surge.
