High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Pakistan Md Ruhul Alam Siddique has said that Bangladesh and Pakistan are enjoying friendly relationship based on shared history, harmony of faith and culture.
The Ambassador expressed these remarks during a function organized on the occasion of the 53rd National Day of Bangladesh. He said that that the two sides should further extend their ties for regional peace, stability and socio-economic progress. He hoped that the relationship between the two nations will continue to grow stronger in all areas in future.
On the occasion, Federal Minister Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, Chief Justice Federal Shariat Court Iqbal Hameed-ur-Rahman, Ambassadors, Former Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani, Mushahid Hussain Sayed, High Commissioners, Charge de Affaires, Heads of UN Agencies and International Organizations and Pakistani lawmakers also attended the event.
Participants said that there are good trade ties between Islamabad and Dhaka but efforts should be made to further extend it. They said that the two countries should explore the venues for cooperation in diverse sectors.
