Bangladesh has huge potential in exporting gold ornaments as the country is getting its first gold refinery to boost the industry, according to local entrepreneurs in the sector.
“Under the leadership of BAJUS President Sayem Sobhan Anvir, the gold businesses are working together for developing the jewellery sector as an export-oriented industry,” BAJUS Vice-President Joynal Abedin Khokon told a view-exchange meeting in Rajshahi on Thursday (May 2).
Addressing the programme, leaders and members of different upazilas in the district expressed appreciation and gratitude to BAJUS President Sayem Sobhan Anvir for developing the jewellery industry.
BAJUS Assistant Secretary Uttom Ghosh was present as a special guest while Rajshahi district unit Member Secretary Mokhleshur Rahman presided over the meeting. Executive member Ali Hossain was also present among others.
The BAJUS central leaders are making a countrywide visit to speed up the organisational capacity.
