Bashundhara will supply cement for construction of the extended part of the Dhaka Elevated Expressway which is being constructed as a public-private partnership.
To this end, the leading industrial conglomerate in the country came to an agreement with Chinese joint-venture SDRB-Sinohydro JV on Saturday, read a press release.
Bashundhara Group Vice-Chairman Safwan Sobhan and Joint Venture’s Department Manager Bai Pei Long signed the agreement at a city hotel on behalf of their respective sides.
Bashundhara Group Director Yeasha Sobhan, Senior Deputy Managing Director Mohammad Mustafizur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director KM Zahid Uddin, and Joint Venture Purchase Manager Liu De Qiang were also present on the occasion.
Bashundhara Cement will provide 2 lakh tonnes of cement for the mega project. Produced in VRM technology, the cement is of a high standard to ensure durable and sustainable structures.
After rigorous evaluation, the selection was based on factors like quality assessment, factory inspection, production capacity, and supply system.
Bashundhara Group Sector-C Chief Financial Officer Mohammad Kamrul Hassan, Chief Sales Officer Shah Jamal Sikder, Head of Business Development Mohammad Towfique Hasan, Head of HR Imran Bin Ferdous, Head of Marketing Mohammad Alauddin, Deputy General Manager Salahuddin Biswas were also present at the event.
