The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) on Sunday (May 19) increased the price of gold by Tk1,084 per bhori as the cost of pure gold rose on the local market.

According to a BAJUS statement, 22-carat gold will now cost Tk 1,19,544 per bhori.

As per the latest decision, the price of 21-carat gold has been set at Tk 1,14,109 per bhori and 18-carat gold at Tk 97,803 per bhori. Besides, for the traditional method, the price of gold will be Tk 80,886 per bhori.

The price of 22-carat silver is Tk180 per gram while 21-carat Tk172 and the price of 18-carat silver is Tk147 per gram and Tk110 for traditional ones.
