The price of high-quality precious yellow metal dropped by Tk 1,084 per bhori on Thursday (May 23) afternoon.
Good quality gold of 22-carat stood at Tk 1,18, 460 per bhori (11.664 grams) due to a reduction in the price of pure gold on the local market.
The standing committee on pricing and price monitoring of Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) adjusted the price at a meeting, reads a press release.
The price of 22-carat gold bar is 1, 18, 460 taka. The price of a 21 carat gold bar has been reduced by Tk 1,27 to Tk 1,13,82.
Apart from this, the price of 18 carat gold has been reduced by 874 taka to 96, 928 taka. And the price of one load of traditional gold has been reduced by 734 taka to 80, 132 taka.
The price of 22-carat silver is Tk 180 per gram, Tk 172 for 21-carat silver, Tk 147 for 18-carat silver, and Tk 110 for traditional silver.
