Bangladesh Investment Summit attracts Tk 3,100cr in proposals

The Bangladesh Investment Summit 2025 has drawn initial investment commitments totaling Tk 3,100 crore, according to Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun, Executive Chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA).

He disclosed the information during a press conference held today at the Foreign Service Academy on Bailey Road in the capital.

Mahmud also mentioned that several more investment proposals are currently under review and in the pipeline.

The four-day summit was organized at a cost of approximately Tk 5 crore, with about Tk 1.5 crore funded by the government and Tk 3.5 crore contributed by partner organizations.

Additionally, the BIDA chairman announced plans to develop 10 new economic zones as part of the country’s ongoing investment expansion strategy.
