Jewellers have raised the price of gold by Tk1,365 to Tk1,67,098 per bhori (11.664 grams), just a day after lowering it in the local market.
The decision was made at a meeting of the Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring of the Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) on Saturday (May 17).
As per the new rates, effective Sunday (May 18), 22-carat gold will cost Tk14,326 per gram, 21-carat Tk13,675, 18-carat Tk11,721, and traditional gold Tk9,686 per gram.
Silver prices remain unchanged, with 22-carat silver at Tk241 per gram.
