The Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will begin selling essential items at affordable prices from 690 mobile trucks across the country starting today (May 23), ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.

The sales will continue daily—including Fridays and holidays—until June 3. Items such as edible oil, sugar, and lentils will be sold under the supervision of the Ministry of Commerce.

Of the 690 trucks, 50 will operate in Dhaka, 20 in Chattogram, 10 each in six divisional cities, and 10 more in each of the remaining 56 district cities.

TCB is also continuing the distribution of subsidized goods to low-income families through Smart Family Cards.
