DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 68 points to stand at 4595 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 89873 with transaction at Tk 5003 million. Of the issues traded, 207 advanced, 75 declined and 14 remained unchanged.
    
LAFSURCEML topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 319 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were GP, PADMAOIL, SQURPHARMA, EHL, MERCANBANK, USMANIAGL, BSC, DELTASPINN and FAMILYTEX.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8901 by gaining over 147 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 161 gained, 56 declined and nine remained unchanged.
