DHAKA: Bangladeshi expatriates sent Tk 1047.94 crore as remittance in the first nine months of fiscal year 2013-14.

Sources from the Department of Foreign Currency Affairs of Bangladesh Bank (BB) made the disclosure on Wednesday.

They also informed that the amount of remittance in March ($127.33 crore) was increased than February ($117.31 crore) but it was $ 9 crore less than January.

Sources said most of the remittance came through the Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited.

In 2013-14FY, a total remittance in July was $ 123 crore, in August and September $ 100 crore, in October $ 123 crore, in November $ 100 crore and $ 121 crore in December.
