DHAKA: The government signed a Tk 10 crore US Dollar loan deal with Asian Development Bank (ADB) for the development of railway.

The deal was signed on Wednesday at Economical Affairs conference room under the Railway Sector Investment Project-3.

On behalf of government, Economical Affairs Division secretary M Mesbah Uddin and ADB country director Tadahiko Higuchi were present.

ADB will give the loan to increase the transport capacity of the railway and to add 50 broad-gauge and 100 miter-gauge passenger coaches.
