DHAKA: Both the two bourses of the country witnessed mixed trend in share-price indices on Sunday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over five points to stand at 4,378 at the close on the first trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 50,601 with transaction at Tk 1828 million. Of the issues traded, 120 advanced, 128 declined and 43 remained unchanged.

BSRMSTEEL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 84 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were LAFSURCEML, SQURPHARMA, MERCANBANK, GP, HWAWELLTEX, MPETROLEUM, MITHUNKNIT, DELTALIFE and MATINSPINN.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,438 by gaining over three points.

Out of the issues traded, 56 gained, 105 declined and 27 remained unchanged.
