BGIC declaration<br> Authorized capital up Tk 100 crore, face value at Tk 10

Dhaka: Bangladesh General Insurance Co. Ltd (BGIC) has decided to increase its authorized capital besides converting the face value of share to Tk 10, following up the revised tricks of the trade on the capital market.

As per decision taken by the company’s board of directors, the authorized capital would double from Tk 50 crore to Tk 100 crore.

Besides, the board decided to change the denomination of shares (face value) from Tk 100 to Tk 10 each and Market lot from 10 to 100 shares per lot subject to the approval of regulatory authority and by the shareholders.  

BGIC fixed June 29 for the 4th Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) and June 3 as record date of EGM.
