NARSINGDI: Power-loom workers here continued their strike for the sixth straight day on Sunday to press home their demands including regularization of jobs and pay-hike.

President of district Textile Mill Owners` Association AKM Fazlul Haq termed the workers` 13-point demand is baseless.

He told banglanews24.com.bd that the owners decided to double their bonus for resolving the existing problems, he added. 

Haq also informed that upon implementation of the decision, each worker would get Tk 1200 as bonus instead of previous amount of Tk 600.

He expressed hope that the workers would join their work showing respect to the owners` decision. 

President of the workers’ Federation Abdur Rahman said they would continue the strike until their demands are met.
