DHAKA: Tuba Group Sramik Sangram Committee called for countrywide protest on Thursday if their demand is not meet by authorities of the group. 

Leader of the committee and deputy general of Bangladesh Garment Workers’ Trade Union Jolly Talukder confirmed the matter to banglanews.

She said, they will observe labor strike if the Tuba group authorities don’t meet their demand till Saturday.

Meanwhile, police foiled the press conference of workers in the factory at Hossain Market of Badda area around 5:00 pm hindering journalists to enter the conference venue. 

Senior Assistant Commissioner Nur Alam of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (Gulshan Zone) told the journalists that they deter the workers for their (workers) safety.

Earlier, the workers of five factories of Tuba group stage the fast-unto-death for the due wages and festival bonuses.
