DHAKA: The 29th Central Banking Course of South East Asia, New Zealand, Australia (SEANZA), an association of the central banks of these regions, began in the city on Sunday.

SEANZA president Shitangshu Kumar Sur Chowdhury inaugurated the course at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka in the city on the morning.

Addressing the function, Shitangshu said, “This initiative, of course, will develop the relation between Bangladesh and SEANZA countries.”

The course will highlight different issues related to central banking including monetary policy and economic stability.

“The course enrollers would increase their skill to face different economic challenges, changes and newness in Asia and Oceania regions,” added Shitangshu.

Officials and representative of central and commercial banks from 14 different countries and organizations took part in the course.

Some 20 countries and 24 organizations are the members of SEANZA.
