DHAKA: M Shamsul Alam recently has joined Jiban Bima Corporation, state-run life insurance company, as its chairman.

Earlier, he worked as chairman at Sadharan Bima Corporation, another state-owned organization to deal with all classes of general insurance and re-insurance business emanating in Bangladesh.

Alam, who joined the then Pakistan Insurance Corporation in 1960, completed his honors and masters from Dhaka University.

He also worked as managing director of Sadharan Bima Corporation from 1973 to 1986 and of Jiban Bima Corporation from 1986 to 1987.
