GAZIPUR: An amount of Taka 60.7 lakh has reportedly been stolen from Janata Bank of Joydebpur Bazar branch in the district on Saturday night.
On suspicion, law enforcers detained a security guard of the bank. The incident is reported at 11:30am on Sunday.
Police, on information, visited the spot and collected the clues of the incident.
Joydebpur Thana Sub-Inspector (SI) Abul Hosain told banglanews that the gang made the security guard subconscious. Later, using alternative key, they opened the locker and stole an amount of Taka 60.7 lakh.
