DHAKA: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained seven members, including bank officials and a woman of a cheque forgery group on Wednesday.

The RAB members conducted separate drives in several areas in the city from Tuesday midnight to Wednesday noon and detained them.

The elite force also seized a good number of chequebooks and instruments used for cheque forgery from their possession.

RAB Headquarters media wing deputy director Major Rumman Mahmud confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The detainees were interrogating in the headquarters, he added.
