DHAKA: Bangladesh Bank asked all scheduled banks to set up closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras at their information technology-related rooms to ensure security.

Banking Regulation and Policy Department of the central bank issued a circular on the matter on Thursday and sent to managing directors and chief executive officers of all banks.

The circular said that, all banks have to install CCTV camera at their data center according to the section no 4.1.2.7 of BB’s Guideline on ICT Security For Scheduled Banks and Financial Institutions.

In line with the Guideline, all banks were ordered to set up CCTV at their IT rooms, it added.
