DHAKA: Pay and Service Commission has submitted its report to Finance Minister recommending maximum Tk 80,000 and minimum Tk 8,200 as basic wage for government job holders.

Minister AMA Muhith said the implementation process of the newly recommended salary will be started from July 1 of next year.

Chairman of the commission former Bangladesh Bank governor Dr Mohammad Forasuddin said, “13 lakhs govt officials will get this hiked salary, however about 11 lakhs are on duty and rest are retired.”
