DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses is underway with downward trend of share-price indices on Sunday, first trading day of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over zero point to stand at 4,963 at 12:38pm.

Trade deals stood at 39811 with volume of transactions at Tk 1,430 million.

Of the issues traded, 121 advanced, 130 declined and 43 remained unchanged.

SAIFPOWER topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 73 million having changed hands.

Following the suit, the Chittagong Stock Exchange Selective Categories Index (CSCX) climbed down to 9222 by dropping over one point at about 12:36pm.

Out of the issues traded, 83 gained, 76 declined and 35 remained unchanged.
