DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Tuesday, the last trading day before five-day Eid vacation.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, rose over 11.67 points to stand at 4853.29 at the close on the third trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 89020 with transaction at Tk 3646.98 million. Of the issues traded, 179 advanced, 82 declined and 56 remained unchanged.

BSRMSTEEL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 202.82 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were KPCL, BSRMLTD, LAFSURCEML, UNITEDAIR, BXPHARMA, AMANFEED, ACI, SPCL and QSMDRYCELL.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 9047.70 by gaining over 29.60 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 133 gained, 76 declined and 38 remained unchanged.
