DHAKA: A three-day ‘Foodpro Bangladesh’ fair, to be organized by Bangladesh Agro Food Process Association (BAPA), will begin in city on October 14.

Industries minister Amir Hossain Amu will inaugurate the fair on processed food products as chief guest while state minister for foreign affairs Shahriar Alam will be present as special guest.

It will remain open from 10:00am to 7:00pm to all till October 17 at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre.

The organizers made the disclosure at a press conference held at National Press Club in city on Sunday.

According to them, as many as 230 stalls by 105 organizations will be set up at the fairground.

They further said that two more fairs – ‘5th Agro Bangladesh Expo’ and ‘Rice and Grain Tech Expo – will also be held along with the ‘foodpro’ event.

BAPA general secretary Raju Ahmed, rice mills owners association vice-president Amir Hossain and fair organizing committee chairman DD Ghoshal, among others, were present at the press conference.
