DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses is underway with downward trend of share-price indices on Wednesday.

The Dhaka Stock Exchange Broad Index (DSEX) shed over 39.04 points to stand at 4740.61 at 11:50am.

Trade deals stood at 22691 with volume of transactions at Tk 916.61 million.

Of the issues traded, 48 advanced, 197 declined and 36 remained unchanged.

LAFSURCEML topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 57.54 million having changed hands.

Following the suit, the Chittagong Stock Exchange Selective Categories Index (CSCX) climbed down to 8829.86 by dropping over 75.20 points at about 11:48am.

Out of the issues traded, 21 gained, 124 declined and 22 remained unchanged.
