DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Monday, the second trading day of the week.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, rose over 36.60 points to stand at 4644.63 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 82306 with transaction at Tk 3358.01 million.

Of the issues traded, 145 advanced, 131 declined and 45 remained unchanged.

LAFSURCEML topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 273.66 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BXPHARMA, KDSALTD, EMERALDOIL, IFADAUTOS, GP, MHSML, BSRMSTEEL, CITYBANK and CVOPRL.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8614.10 by gaining over 46.17 points.

Out of the issues traded, 90 gained, 122 declined and 33 remained unchanged.
