DHAKA: The Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Tuesday gave final approval to the seventh Five-Year Plan (2015-20) worth around Tk 31.90-lakh crore with the view to attain the status of middle income country by 2021.

The approval came from the meeting of the government’s highest policymaking body at NEC conference room in city’s Agargaon area with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.

Planning minister AHM Mustafa Kamal said of the total cost, 77.30 percent will come from private sector while government exchequer will provide 22.70 percent.
