DHAKA: The three-day ‘Smartphone and Tab Expo’ will begin on January 7 to facilitate the users in buying latest versions of smartphones and tabs.

The event, to be organized by Expo Maker and sponsored by Grameenphone (GP), will be held at Bangabandhu International Convention Centre (BICC) in city.

The organizers at a press conference held in a city hotel on Monday (January 4) said State Minister for Information Communication and Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak will inaugurate the event.

They further said that scores of world-known brands of smartphones and tabs including Samsung, Symphony, Huwaei, Elite, Helio, Stylus, Goldberg, Asus, Lenovo, Mycell, Twinms, Prestigio, Shaomi, Gyoni, and Gadget Gang Seven will display their latest innovations at this show.

GP head of external communication Syed Talat Kamal, officials from Expo Maker and co-sponsors Elite, Huawei, Symphony and Samsung were present at the conference.

A mega pavilion for the title sponsor Grameenphone, 8 pavilions, 4 mini pavilions and 8 stalls will be setup in the fairground.

The exposition will remain open from 10:00am to 8:00pm everyday with an entry fee.

Expo Maker will also arrange a technical session on digital content on the concluding day of the fair.
