DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses-- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- is underway showing gain in share-price indices on Wednesday.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, rose over 21.42 points to stand at 4664.67 at 11:53 am.

Trade deals stood at 56470 with transaction at Tk 2491.05  million.

Of the issues traded, 157 advanced, 86 declined and 44 remained unchanged.

UPGDCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 174.82 million having changed hands during the time.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8678.71 by gaining over 40.17 points at 11:48am.

Out of the issues traded, 108 gained, 36 declined and 24 remained unchanged.
