DHAKA: Probe body found negligence of Bangladesh Bank (BB) officials behind reserve heist.

Investigation committee, led by former governor Mohammed Farashuddin, made the announcement.

The committee mentioned the names of 30/32 officials for their negligence of duties.

Earlier on Wednesday (April 20), an interim report was handed over to finance minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith.

However, the investigation committee did not provide any evidence whether the officials were involved in hacking or not.

The security software was also failed several times this year but the issue was ignored by the officials and as a result hackers injected malware in the bank’s network, the report added.
