DHAKA: Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Wednesday (April 26) approved nine projects worth of Tk 7,000-crore.

ECNEC committee okeyed the projects at a meeting held at NEC Conference Room in city’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.

Planning minister AHM Mustafa Kamal informed the media after the meeting.

He said that it included ‘Cross-border Network’ project with the aim of establishing safer communication network with Asian Highway and creating opportunity to establish possible economic zone with India.

This particular project will cost about Tk 2,500-cr, he added.

According to the minister, ECNEC also approved ‘Aminbazar-Mawa-Mongla 400-kv transmission line’ project with the cost of Tk 1,356.59-cr.
