DHAKA: Investors witnessed fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange- on Monday (June 20).
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 18.77 points and 0.42 percent to stand at 4369.00 at the end of the day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 79,494 with transaction at Tk 3283.49 million.
Of the issues traded, 73 advanced, 179 declined and 68 remained unchanged.
The ACME Laboratories Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 235.18 million having changed hands.
The other toppers are Bangladesh Building Systems Ltd, Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Doreen Power Generations and Systems Limited, GPH Ispat Ltd, Shahjibazar Power Co. Ltd, Aman Feed Limited, The Ibn Sina, National Feed Mill Limited and Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, s CSCX, the prime index, climbing down to 8177.77 by dropping over 46.03 points.
Out of the issues traded, 56 gained, 141 declined and 42 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 191.26 million.
