DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s two bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – on Wednesday (June 22), the fourth trading session of the week.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, gained over 3.13 points and 0.07 percent to stand at 4366.24 at the end of day’s exchange.

Trade deals stood at 83,142 with transaction at Tk 3291.31 million.

Of the issues traded, 140 advanced, 120 declined and 61 remained unchanged.

The ACME Laboratories Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 115.12 million having changed hands on the day.

Other toppers of the market were Olympic Accessories Limited, National Feed Mill Limited, Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Dragon Sweater and Spinning Limited, The Ibn Sina, Lafarge Surma Cement Ltd., Delta Brac Housing Finance Corp. Ltd., Central Pharmaceuticals Limited and Paramount Textile Limited.

Chittagong stocks also followed the trend, as CSCX, the prime index, rose to 8175.68 by gaining over 9.00 points on the day.

Out of the issues traded, 117 gained, 90 declined and 37 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 195.85 million.
