DHAKA: The benchmark indices of the country’s two bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed gain on the last day of week (June 23).
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, gained over 15.21 points and 0.34 percent to stand at 4381.46 at the end of day’s exchange.
Trade deals stood at 81,004 with transaction at Tk 3116.08 million.
Of the issues traded, 148 advanced, 126 declined and 44 remained unchanged.
The Olympic Accessories Limited topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 192.25 million having changed hands on the day.
Other toppers of the market were The ACME Laboratories Limited, National Feed Mill Limited, Tosrifa Industries Limited, Orion Infusion Ltd, Dragon Sweater and Spinning Limited, The Ibn Sina, Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Aman Feed Limited and LankaBangla Finance ltd.
Chittagong stocks also followed the trend, as CSCX, the prime index, rose to 8191.67 by gaining over 15.98 points on the day.
Out of the issues traded, 115 gained, 91 declined and 43 remained unchanged. The total value of exchange was over Tk 33.66 million.
