United Airways adds four aircrafts soon

DHAKA: United Airways, a non-government airliner of the country and the sole aviation company in the capital market is going to add four more aircrafts in its service soon.

Purchase process for one Airbus A-310/325 and three ATR aircrafts is already underway, an insider source said.

“Down-payment for two aircrafts has already been made and first two planes would reach within this month,” said Oliur Rahman, Deputy Manager of the United Airways.

Confirming about signing of agreement or the remaining two he said they are expected to join the fleet in a short span of time.

The new moves are part of company’s plans of expansion of  services.

The airline is paying about Tk 146.66 crore for the purchase, a source in Dhaka Stock Exchange said.

United came to the capital market on July 8, as the only scrip in the travel sector.
