DHAKA: Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) is set hold dialogues with candidacy aspirants in the upcoming general election from various political parties including Awami League and BNP in all 64 districts.
‘ACC Talks’ would be arranged to make both candidates and voters aware about corruption in the election process.
The discussion will be held with the probable candidates, representatives along with the noted persons of the country, political personalities and ACC officials.
Confirming the matter, ACC Commissioner M Sahabuddin Chunnu told banglanews, “Chief executives of ACC have confirmed an outline of the dialogue in regular meetings.”
ACC headquarters have finalized the primary budget of Tk 1.1 million and strategy of the dialogue, he added.
He also said that they have decided to telecast the dialogue on television and radio.
Sources from the ACC said that the theme of this discussion is – ‘We will elect qualified candidates to build a corruption free country’.
ACC has arranged the dialogue to stop spread of black money, discourage people to vote the corrupted candidates, not to take economic benefits for casting in favour of a candidate and to make people aware to create a corruption free environment for holding election.
Letters will be issued to 22 district offices in this connection, sources added.
