DHAKA: Investors witnessed sharp fall in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.
The DSE general index shed over 24 points to stand at 4,005 at the close on the forth trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 95,793 with transaction at Tk 3,243 million.
Of the issues traded, 75 advanced, 193 declined and 23 remained unchanged.
BSCCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 199million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were CMCKAMAL, TALLUSPIN, GENNEXT , JAMUNAOIL, BANGAS, RNSPIN, GP, UNITEDAIR and SQURPHARMA.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 7,801 by dropping over 69 points.
Out of the issues traded, 48 gained, 156 declined and 18 remained unchanged.
