SYLHET: Miscreants snatched Tk 90 lakh of BRAC Bank while an official of the bank were taking the money to Biswanath Branch from Banmdarbazar Branch in Lalabazar area of the city on Sunday.
Additional Deputy Police Commissioner of the city M Ayub told banglanews that the money was snatched from a private car when it arrived in the Lalabazar area.
On information, police rushed to the spot, he added.
Officer-in-Charge of South Surma Thana told banglanews that the authorities of the bank made a complaint with the thana of snatching Taka around one crore.
