DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Thursday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 21 points to stand at 3,843 at the close on the last trading day of the week.

The volume of transactions stood Tk 2,194 million with 66,902 trade deals.   

Of the issues traded, 147 advanced, 112 declined and 27 remained unchanged.

ARGONDENIM topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 118 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were ENVOYTEX, MICEMENT, SQURPHARMA, HEIDELBCEM, CMCKAMAL, JMISMDL, BSCCL, GHCL and ACTIVEFINE.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 7,494 by gaining over 29 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 80 gained, 94 declined and 29 remained unchanged.
