Gold and jewellery traders will keep their shops closed across the country on Wednesday (Oct 13) due to Durga Puja, the largest religious festival of the Hindu community.
Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (BAJUS) issued a press release Tuesday in this regard.
The association requested the jewellery traders to keep their shops shut on the day of Maha Ashtami that falls on Wednesday, said the release.
The five-day long Durga Puja celebration began on Monday with the unveiling of the face of the deity and Kalparambho on the day of Maha Sashthi and it will end on October 15 with the immersion of the idols.
