Two professors from Dhaka University were appointed as full-time members of the University Grants Commission (UGC).

A gazette notification, signed by Dr Md Farhad Hossain, Deputy Secretary of the Private University-1 Branch under the Ministry of Education, was issued on Thursday (Sept 12).

The newly appointed members are Dr Mohammad Tanzimuddin Khan from the Department of International Relations and Dr Mohammad Anwar Hossain from the Department of Sociology.

Both professors will serve as full-time UGC members for the next four years.
